Spring and the smell of sulphur
Today I finished a pendant that was based on a cicada...
I also made a Mexican scull type pedant. Id like to find a good resist for etching but I kind of like the drawn on effect.
The oxidisation of the copper was done with egg fumes.
I assumed that because an off egg stinks more than an fresh one that it would have more sulphur thus speeding up the oxidation process.
I don't know if this is the case.
But its the first time I've smelt an off egg, and hopefully the last... it smells like death!
Here is the copper after a whole night in the fumes of the egg:
And here are a few images from my house:
Spring is here!
It works but after you turn it on it takes a few minutes to 'warm up'
Good night blog!

Patrick Marber's 'Closer" @ Brisbane Arts Theatre
Really great experience. I really recommend working with the people at BAT, really inspiring atmosphere when working with volunteers.
Here is a CAD image of my intention:
Unfortunately I'm not used to working with panels of 1 foot so the final product turned out a bit
out of proportion.
Also they had to ditch my main idea of a fold-out bed ( the middle white block). We built if and it weighed a tonne.
So here is the finished product:
The blue in the one above moves like water! Really looked great!
All in all the play got pretty bad reviews, but what does a under-graduate journalist from Brisbane know.
Anyway, thanks to my friend Peter Norton (who played Dan) for giving the opportunity to get involved, (and also for giving me my first mattress when i left home 7 years ago! :))
Also to the Director John Boyce the Director.. for everything I guess.
And Brisbane actress Izabela Wasilewska is worth mentioning ... just because she's great... she played Anna.
